Meet the Farmers
For Farmers has awarded grants of $500 or more to 75 farmers across the United States in three rounds -- six in our inaugural round, 20 in the second, and 49 in the third -- in 11 months. Going forward the For Farmers grant process will take place annually starting on October 12th, National Farmer's Day.

Alleluia Acres Heritage Farm

We are a heritage farm in Alabama that focuses on both producing a product and preserving the breeds of yesterday. Our breeds pre-date commercial farming and many are at risk of being endangered. We produce breeding stock for other farms and provide raw milk, pork, eggs, and raw milk soaps for our community.

Barnwallow Flowers is a fresh-cut, flower company in rural Oskaloosa, Iowa. Its regenerative model uses zero chemicals above and below ground while only selling what it grows. Farmer, Meredith Nunnikhoven, co-founded Barnswallow to diversify the small farm operation. Meredith’s development of the value-added, compostable vase line will contribute to a cleaner future in the floristy world.

Howling Flats Farm mission is rooted in providing a high-quality and ethically conscious food source for the local community. Founded in 2010 the farms history is marked by its transformation from a horse racing facility to a thriving livestock enterprise. I actively engage with the community distributing my farm fresh meats through a CSA, direct-to-consumer via my website, wholesale partnerships with local grocers, schools, food banks, Healthfood stores and farm stands. In addition to providing the best products, I am striving to build a profitable business in hopes that my grandchildren can raise their families in this amazing life when they grow up.

We are a 12 acre market garden farm incorporating biodynamic principals to our certified naturally grown vegetable farm. We sell our vegetables at farmers markets and host a CSA membership. We are also a teaching farm and partner with Montessori schools in our area for hands on farm projects and farmers markets. The children have a seed to market experience from planting, harvesting, to customer interaction at the farmers market.

We are a husband and wife small scale vegetable farm with big dreams. Right now we farm mixed vegetables on 1/2 acre and have egg laying chickens and bees. We are certified naturally grown and we like to work with nature rather than against her, especially being in such a snowy location.

Sippel family Farm is a 77 acre farm located in rural Ohio. We primarily produce cheese on the farm under the brand-name Kokoborrego Cheese and in the past few years we have been raising pastures poultry as well as working on bringing our apple orchard back into fruitful production.

We are an establishing Farmstead Creamery with a focus on sustainable agriculture and animal welfare. We have been operating as a raw milk dairy since 2020 whilst growing our dairy herd, accumulating equipment, renovating our facility and educating ourselves in dairying and cheesemaking.

Will o the Winds Farm is a first-generation farm located near the shores of Lake Superior. We raise pastured pigs from birth-to-butcher as organically as we can and sell a variety of other products including soap, maple syrup, and garlic at our farm store and at summer farmers’ markets.

Our farm is located in the Appalachian mountains of western Maryland. We are growing a herd of Limousin and Limousin cross cattle and sell our grass fed and finished beef directly to our local community. We care for our cattle daily from birth to harvest, and provide locally raised beef through farmers markets, a monthly beef subscription, and on farm pick up.

Small family farm in Upstate New York specializing in fruit(apples and strawberries) and specialty grown cut flowers. We are a farm that relies almost only on farmer’s market. We do our best to mesh old school and new school farming techniques.

Killdeer Farms seeks to build good old-fashioned community and rehab an abandoned urban parcel through farming. Husband and wife team Scott and Christine Calvin grow cut flowers, and heirloom pumpkins plus lavender, which they use to produce a bespoke line of aromatherapy bath and body goods like soaps and hand cream.

We are two farmers with 10 acres. We operate a 1.5-acre market garden, primarily focused on donating fresh produce. Our mission is to contribute to local communities by sharing the harvest. This effort aligns with our dedication to sustainable farming and giving back through wholesome, homegrown food.
All We Need Farm

All We Need Farm is micro-dairy located in Needville, Texas and consists of seventeen acres and is home to thirty dairy goats. Our farm makes award winning goat milk popsicles. The pops are simple consisting of very few Ingredients which allows the delicious milk our animals make to shine.
Barberry Hill Farm

Barberry Hill Farm is a family farm established in 1909. We grow cut flowers, fruits, and vegetables, specializing in varieties of heirloom tomatoes and hard to find vegetables. We practice sustainable growing techniques using leaf mulch and do not use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

We are a 1st generation regenerative family farm nestled on 50 acres in the mountains of Idaho. We sell raw goats' milk dairy products, Icelandic lamb, flowers, garlic, and natural body products. This next year we will be selling on farm, at a farmers' market, at a local shop, and online.

We are a pasture based livestock farm in Eastern North Carolina offering meats & eggs directly to families in our local community. We started the farm to be able to work together as a family alongside our kiddos and we've become passionate about local food along the way.
