The Farm
Sippel family Farm is a 77 acre farm located in rural Ohio. We primarily produce cheese on the farm under the brand-name Kokoborrego Cheese and in the past few years we have been raising pastures poultry as well as working on bringing our apple orchard back into fruitful production.
The Project Funded
We will be using the grant money to help purchase supplies for the Orchard to help with harvest and storage, hopefully we can increase our yields and be able to store apples for year round sales.
The Project Impact
The grant outfitted our orchard for harvest: picking bags, harvest bins, ladders, and pruning tools. Better equipment means more apples picked in good condition and stored well, so our fruit lasts and our yields keep climbing.
