The Farm
We are two farmers with 10 acres. We operate a 1.5-acre market garden, primarily focused on donating fresh produce. Our mission is to contribute to local communities by sharing the harvest. This effort aligns with our dedication to sustainable farming and giving back through wholesome, homegrown food.
The Project Funded
Our grant funds the replacement of our greenhouse plastic, that was damaged in a windstorm, with a thinner, more durable one. This upgrade ensures a longer growing season, providing more food to combat local food insecurity.
The Project Impact
Our greenhouse cover never fit its wiggle wire, and high winds blew the whole thing off. The grant replaced it with thinner, more durable plastic that actually fits and lets in more light, securing the longer growing season the greenhouse was built to provide.
