The Farm
G.A.R. Horizons has been raising quality meats since 2009. First generation, no Farmers in the family, starting from scratch! Catherine started her hobby farm after her years in 4-H. Since then it has grown to be a business. It is important to know where your food comes from, how it was raised and what it was fed.
The Project Funded
Tractor rebuild, repaid
The Project Impact
Our 4640 tractor blew up this summer, an expense we never saw coming, and rebuilding it left a parts bill of over $6,000. The grant helped pay down that rebuild and get the tractor, the workhorse of this farm, back in the field.
