The Farm
New Spoke Farm is a mixed vegetable farm, growing over 50 types of certified organic vegetables. We grow for our CSA, one weekly farmers market, and wholesale. We focus on culinary, specialty varieties you can't find at the grocery store.
The Project Funded
This grant is helping us to pay for a 2-bottomed plow! The farm is moving and expanding to a new location this year, and we needed to purchase a plow to open up the fields at the new farm. This plow allows us to stay on timeline before the snow flies this winter, and be able to jump right into a new growing season next spring.
The Project Impact
The farm is moving to new, larger ground this year. The grant helped purchase a two-bottom plow to open the new fields, turning pasture into vegetable beds and putting the tractor we rebuilt this summer to work on our expansion.
