Wild Sage Farms

The Farm

I own and operate Wild Sage Farms in the Deep Creek area of Spokane, Washington. I have 2 acres in cultivation that includes produce and an orchard. I attend 2 farmers markets, partner with 20 restaurants, work with local COOPs and other farms with Farm To School contract. I offer the SNAP and WIC programs to support my community eating healthy local food.

The Project Funded

I would use the $500 for the farm plot extension from 2 acres to 2.5 acres. I would install another 147ft X 147 ft garden plot that includes 8ft fence posts, 6.5 ft fencing, weed barrier and irrigation.

Project Impact

This grant will enable me to produce 25% more vegetables and all of it will go directly to the surrounding community. I live in a low income "food desert" area and it is vital to provide healthy options.
