The Farm
Wild + Woven is a community-sufficient farm that connects with nearby farmers to not only provide nutrient-dense food to their surrounding neighbors, but to teach those neighbors empowering skills to cook, grow, ferment, and more.
The Project Funded
Our grant will reduce the overhead cost of raising heritage hogs on our farm. It will provide bulk feeders, which will allow us to reduce our feed cost. It will also put a dent in the farrowing infrastructure bill so we can be more sustainable.
Project Impact
Our goal with raising sustainable, nutrient-dense meat is to be able to offer it at a competitive price to our community while earning a fair wage for ourselves. We hope to grow our number of hogs raised, and reducing overhead costs increases the longevity of our program.
