The Farm
Wells Farms is a first-generation farm located in Rio, Wisconsin and operated by Kenny and Sarah Wells and young daughters. We are on a mission to raise premium beef, pork and goat meat with a difference you can taste while connecting you to the people who raise it.
The Project Funded
Grant funds will be used to purchase custom goat feeders for our barn as we transition our old dairy barn into a goat barn.
Project Impact
As we expand into meat goats to further diversify the protein choices we offer and meet a growing demand for goat meat, we need different infrastructure and equipment to be able to handle and feed the goats safely and efficiently. The new system will provide a safer way to feed the goats without the risk of carrying buckets to goats that don't respect personal boundaries and will promote less waste of hay.
