The Farm
Our Farm is in the woods. We currently farm about 3 acres of ginseng. We clean up the woods and make raised beds. We make our beds 4 ft wide and the length of the beds are all a bit different depending on the woods.
The Project Funded
We are gonna use the grant to buy ginseng seeds. Due to weather and animals (Turkeys) we don't get as many seeds for what we need to plant.
The Project Impact
This grant will help us obtain seeds for the upcoming year which is our future to keep growing ginseng. We let our ginseng sit for 6 years in the ground and that's why its important for us to plant every year. Our goal is to have 1 yr through 6 yr old ginseng plants in the woods.
