The Farm
Things Are Blooming Nursery is a Deerfield Beach micro-nursery growing Florida-adapted native and edible starter plants. We teach hands-on propagation workshops and sell beginner plant kits and seedlings at local markets to promote low-water, pollinator-friendly gardens.
The Project Funded
To build a durable shade structure and raised benches, purchase quality potting media, and install basic irrigation—immediately improving seedling survival, tripling propagation capacity, and enabling more community workshops so South Floridians can access native, low-water, pollinator-friendly plants.
Project Impact
With this grant, I’ll build shade and benches, boosting seedling survival and tripling propagation capacity. That increases plant availability for local gardens and markets, supports pollinators, reduces irrigation needs, and funds more hands-on workshops—strengthening community stewardship and access to climate-resilient native plants.
