The Farm
Surf and Turf Farms is a small, family-owned farm offering beef and poultry products to the residents and visitors of Atlantic County. Using regenerative agriculture techniques, our animals are pasture-raised and brought up as naturally as possible. Our goals are simple: high-quality meats, and the reassurance of knowing exactly where your food is coming from.
The Project Funded
We intend to use these grant funds to build more livestock shelters for our cattle. As we've expanded our herd, we've outgrown the existing structures and these funds will allow us to expand the animals' access to protection from extreme weather.
Project Impact
The increased shelter area will help keep our cows out of the many Nor'easter storms we get over the winter and early spring months. This will help avoid winter weight loss and keep our animals in the best condition possible. In turn, we'll be able to provide our community with high-quality, local beef.
