The Farm
Our third and fourth-generation family farm, located north of Albany, NY, raises pastured beef and chicken which feed an average of 75 local families each month.
We use rotational grazing practices that produce nutrient dense proteins while continually improving our soils – we nurture people and the environment.
The Project Funded
This grant will aid in the purchase of a glass door freezer to establish a more consumer-friendly retail area. We store all our products in an off-site walk-in freezer and bring orders to a chest freezer in our house for customers to pick up.
Project Impact
Upon arrival at our farm, customers often ask where our ‘store’ is and want to see our inventory. The glass door freezer will allow us to display a variety of cuts for purchasing, hopefully leading to more impulse purchases, and therefore healthier diets and increased revenue.
