Spectrum Farms is a specialty cut flower farm located in Felton, Delaware, where owners Chris and Ashley promote locally grown flowers and focus their work in areas of business that bring joy to customers. Spectrum Farms grows cut flowers for retail, wholesale, and floral design. Spread joy like flowers!
The Project Funded
The For Farmers Grant will provide for renovations to an old 10ft x 8ft shed for the space to be primarily used to grow winter forced tulips as well as function for seed starting in early spring and a cooler storage area for fresh cut flowers in the summer.
Project Impact
We strive to extend our growing season through crop selection and implementing season extension tools. The use of the For Farmers Grant will allow for an expanded offering of winter tulips, bringing more joy to our community through locally grown flowers outside the tradition growing season.
