The Farm
Savage Gardens is a diversified farm producing free-range GMO Free eggs and pork and certified organic vegetables, flowers, fruit and herbs on our 30 acre family farm in North Hero, Vermont. We are a husband and wife team with help from our incredible young adult children.
The Project Funded
Vegetable farming is rewarding but sometimes a pain in the back. We intend to construct an ergonomic bed-laying tool to streamline manual weeding, harvesting, and planting. We would be able to accomplish many farm tasks while laying prone straddling the beds.
Project Impact
We started our farm in 2005 with the intention of providing fresh clean food for our family and our community. This equipment will enable us to continue to keep producing food for our community and will engage the next generation to work smarter not harder.
