The Farm

We are first-generation husband-and-wife farmers who started Sasquatch Family Farms in 2023 with a hope that we could growing local food and raising pasture-raised Berkshire pigs, lamb, chickens, and cattle. What began as a dream quickly grew into a calling to connect with our community and share the joy of farming with others. Our motto is #hopegrowshere—because we believe farming is about more than food; it’s about cultivating hope, resilience, and connection.

The Project Funded

We use the grant to complete much-needed repairs and improvements that will allow our animals access to additional acres of pasture. The improvements will help us better manage rotational grazing, extend access to underutilized ground, and ensure that our animals are safe and comfortable year-round.

Project Impact

Animal Welfare – By improving fencing, shade, and shelter, we can provide healthier living conditions for our Berkshire pigs, sheep, cattle, and poultry. Expanding usable pasture also reduces pressure on existing fields and allows animals to roam and forage more naturally.
