The Farm
Saldana Farms was established in 2015. We are a first generation farm. The farm is 27 acres in total with 15 acres in production. We grow sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes, and green beans all sold locally fresh off the farm.
The Project Funded
We sustained major damage to our packing shed/farm store from flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. We are seeking funds to help us rebuild our farm stand as quickly as possible for reopening next season.
Project Impact
The help we receive will help our farm rebuild our packing shed/farm store. All of our sales are on farm so our customers are used to coming every day we are open to pick up their produce. The packing shed allows us to harvest and hold products for customer pick up. With this grant, donations, and other grants we have received we should be able to rebuild and continue to serve our local customers again next season. Many of our customers were impacted by the flooding as well, it can also help them return a sense of normalcy.
