The Farm

Roots a 10-acre, no-till diversified vegetable and fruit farm dedicated to promoting equitable food access. Our non-profit arm provides free gardening supplies and classes to the community, partners with food banks for weekly produce deliveries, and collaborates with Washington State University and the Veteran Conservation Corps for mentorship and training programs. Additionally, we are conducting research studies to analyze climate change mitigation strategies for farmers in the West, focusing on dry farming in response to drought.

The Project Funded

We will be using the grant to help purchase much needed plumbing supplies for our new farm building.

Project Impact

Receiving for plumbing supplies brings us closer to making our new facility operational. This crucial infrastructure will allow us to implement produce washing systems, ensuring better food safety and quality. Additionally, expanding our irrigation system will enhance water efficiency, supporting our diverse crops and increasing overall productivity on the farm.
