The Farm
Roots & Earth Family Farm is a multigenerational Afro-Caribbean and Mexican family farm practicing regenerative agriculture rooted in ancestral knowledge. We grow culturally significant crops and heritage seeds while serving as a community learning space that centers food sovereignty, ecological restoration, and cultural preservation.
The Project Funded
The For Farmers Grant will support expansion of our nursery and propagation systems for culturally important crops. Funds will help purchase compost, mulch, pots, and storage supplies to increase plant starts, improve root storage, and strengthen our capacity to serve local families and farmers.
Project Impact
This grant will increase access to culturally relevant plants, seeds, and food while strengthening our farm’s resilience. By expanding nursery production, we support BIPOC growers, preserve heritage crops, and provide our community with tools, education, and living examples of regenerative, culturally rooted farming.
