The Farm

Our small farm and bakery is nestled in Western Montana. We grow seasonal produce and utilize it fresh or in baked products to connect with our community via direct farm to consumer services like a self serve farmstand, educational programs, and wholesale operations.

The Project Funded

We plan to utilize the funds to acquire silage tarps for use during winter and spring to reduce weed pressure on the farm, and improve vegetable/fruit yield through reduction of unwanted vegetative competition.

The Project Impact

Last season, a bad load of seed-riddled compost left us competing with numerous introduced weeds that managed to out compete multiple crops and harbor habitat for a plethora of new pests. Proper silage tarps will help us regain the hand-cultivated growing soil for production of edible and viable crops.
