The Farm
Our family-owned, Organic farm, produces tree-ripe fruit, vine-ripe melons, tomatoes and other fruits. We’ve marketed exclusively at farmers markets for 34 years where customers become trusted friends who support us all season. We believe in feeding local and at-risk communities, supporting school programs, educating, providing a sustainable livelihood and caring for our environment.
The Project Funded
We are improving and diversifying our farm to produce more food which requires crop protection at both ends of the growing season. Cold frames, long tunnels and greenhouses are our best options for season extension. We will start with a small greenhouse for seedlings and cold crops.
Project Impact
Season extension means we can attend early and late market dates with produce during a time when very little local, fresh food is available. We can double our seedlings for planting and sales to our community as well as harvest cool crops for early and late season.
