The Farm
Mountain Sol farm is a small agroforestry and nursery operation growing small quantities of a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, spices and unusual nursery plants. Pests are managed using organic practices. Soil health and fertility is built using regenerative practices such as mulching, rotational grazing of poultry, and the planting of nitrogen fixing trees, shrubs and ground covers.
The Project Funded
Funds will go towards purchasing a commercial grade salad spinner and any remaining funds will go towards the construction of a wash/pack area.
Project Impact
The salad spinner and wash/pack station will allow us to sell greens such as dandelion greens, lettuce, edible chrysanthemum and mustard much more efficiently. Currently we have been washing and packing greens in our home kitchen which is not ideal.
