Juniper Joy Farm is a women-owned, LGBTQIA-operated organic farm in Charlottesville, Virginia. We grow diversified fruits and vegetables using regenerative practices that prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and community nourishment, grounded in stewardship, education, and long-term ecological resilience.
The Project Funded
The For Farmers Grant funded the purchase of a stainless-steel Greens Bubbler for our wash station, enhancing our capacity to efficiently and gently clean harvested salad greens for market, improving produce quality, food safety, and post-harvest workflow while supporting the farm’s market readiness and operational resilience.
Project Impact
The grant improves our wash-and-pack efficiency and produce quality, allowing us to bring cleaner, fresher greens to market with less labor strain. This strengthens our small farm’s viability while ensuring our local community has consistent access to high-quality, organically grown food.
