The Farm
Hummingbird Rancho is a family-owned farm in Boise, Idaho, dedicated to sustainable agriculture. We raise animals for eggs and meat, grow organic fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs, all cultivated with care and a commitment to quality.
We teach classes and offer seasonal products weekly to our community through our self-serve farm stand and event pop-ups.
The Project Funded
The purpose of the grant is to purchase fence materials to protect the garden vegetation while still allowing our animals to free-range, keeping in alignment with our regenerative agriculture goals.
Project Impact
By providing funding we wouldn’t have had on our own this year, the grant allows us to create a long-term solution for protecting the valuable crops we are growing for ourselves and our community. It will also allow us to grow more crops and avoid loss of vegetation and necessary replanting which was a major issue for us before.
