The Farm
Hinerman Hill Farm is a first-generation, women-owned and operated farm that raises pasture-raised meats. The farm offers sourdough products made with fresh, local ingredients, which became a game-changing, value-added product that helped increase farm sales during times without poultry production. The farm has significant involvement from Kimmie's husband and three children.
The Project Funded
I'm applying for the For Farmers Grant to transform my box trailer into a farmhouse-style mobile sourdough bakery. This will expand year-round sales, provide fresh, high-quality products to my community, and create a convenient, fully stocked shopping experience beyond farmers' markets while supporting my farm’s growth and sustainability.
Project Impact
The For Farmers Grant will help create a mobile sourdough bakery, allowing us to serve our community year-round. This expansion increases accessibility to fresh, high-quality bread and farm products while strengthening local food connections, supporting small-scale agriculture, and ensuring the sustainability of our farm for future growth.
