The Farm
Happy Bird Poultry Farm is a family-owned and operated farm located on a Vermont island! We grow Broiler chickens year-round, and we have a USDA CIS inspected slaughterhouse, processing kitchen, smokehouse, and farm market. Our family of three works hard to grow food to feed our small but mighty community!
The Project Funded
2024: We will be using this funding to purchase a new Price Computing Scale with Printer. Our current scale has served us well, but its current limitations make weighing and pricing smaller items very difficult. This new scale will streamline weighing, pricing and labeling products for our website and farm store! 2025: We will be using our For Farmers Movement grant funds to purchase a dough sheeter!
The Project Impact
The impact will be seen in our production and selling of our products. This scale will allow us to weigh smaller and larger quantities, package efficiently, and quickly label to get products out the door! We are intentional about investments we make in our business and are excited to have this new piece of equipment.
