The Farm
We are a family owned and operated broiler grower in Isle La Motte, Vermont. On an island in northern Lake Champlain we grow broiler chickens year round! We slaughter and process them in our on farm USDA/CIS inspected slaughterhouse and processing plant then further process them into an assortment of products in our farm market kitchen! Our products include chicken cuts, chicken sausage and chicken pot pies!
The Project Funded
We will be using our For Farmers Movement grant funds to purchase a dough sheeter!
Project Impact
The dough sheeter will enable us to make our own pie crust from scratch. Until now we’ve relied on a premade pie crust. By making our own crust we will be able to offer several kinds of our pot pies in personal size (rather than just family size. Plus it will allow us to make our own gluten free crusts as well.
