The Farm
After a lifetime of military service, we're finally growing roots! Our little farm supports our journey to create a homestead-like lifestyle. It felt good to settle...but each day gets even better as our regenerative roots start to take hold, as we grow fruits & vegetables and keep honeybees, chickens & turkeys.
The Project Funded
Fixing the snow drainage issue around the high tunnel that prevents early-season planting: digging ditches and installing materials to create proper slope for drain off.
The Project Impact
By planting earlier, we will be able to extend our growing season by 2-3 months which will allow all of our crops to reach maturity before the first frost. This means 300 more pounds of nutrient dense vegetables for our community.
