The Farm
The Grow It Green Morristown Urban Farm is a one-acre learning and giving farm that has transformed unused playground into productive farmland. What began as a large-scale school garden has blossomed into a thriving farm, tucked behind a school in a densely-populated residential neighborhood. Through regenerative/organic soil practices, integrated pest management and rainwater harvesting for irrigation, our farm serves as a model for sustainable urban agriculture. Beyond production, our farm is a hands-on learning environment for students of all ages—from preschoolers exploring their first garden beds to college students studying environmental science and adults pursuing careers in professional farming.
The Project Funded
We will be using the funds to purchase new irrigation woblers for our second farm location along with more harvest bins to keep harvest days running smoothly.
Project Impact
We hope that these supplies will help us be more efficient when working with large volunteer groups and our core farm team.
