The Farm

x̌ast sq̓it (hast squeit) translates to Good Rain in the traditional language of the sngaytskstx (Sinixt) the Arrow Lakes Peoples. Good Rain Farm is primarily an Indigenous Femme led and operated mixed produce Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm with an emphasis on Indigenous First Foods.

The Project Funded

A $500 investment in Good Rain Farm enables us to purchase more efficient human scaled equipment that enhances both the farmers' physical & mental well-being as well as crop yields. This equipment accelerates harvests, ensuring customers receive the freshest, most nutritious vegetables possible.

Project Impact

This grant is expected to directly impact approximately 200 families through improved access to high-quality produce. Additionally, our expanded reach to schools and food assistance institutions will benefit around 1,000 students and community members. Overall, the grant will support our mission to serve marginalized communities, potentially impacting several thousand individuals by enhancing food security and community resilience. Simple, quality tools can lead to a huge, long-term impact that we are so stoked to engage in!
