The Farm
As first-generation farmers, Fluffy Farms grows no-spray vegetables, practice silvopasture with our Nigerian Dwarf goats, and bake sourdough from freshly milled NJ grains. Through our South Jersey Farm Collective multi-farm CSA, we bring together dozens of local small producers to make seasonal, local food accessible, inspiring, and community-rooted.
The Project Funded
We plan to share a commercial dehydrator with our neighboring farm, Working Dog Farms to turn our no-spray herbs into shelf-stable products for the CSA and community. Upgrading from our small shared unit will double output, reduce labor, and expand access to affordable, locally grown herbs for seasoning, spices, and teas in a food desert region.
Project Impact
Providing no-spray, locally grown dehydrated herbs for seasoning, spices, and teas offers our community access to clean, nutrient-rich products that are often expensive or unavailable in food desert regions. By expanding our dehydrating capacity, we can supply families with affordable, flavorful, shelf-stable herbs while supporting local food sovereignty and reducing reliance on imported goods during the winter months.
