The Farm
I have a small basketry willow farm in the rich Snoqualmie River valley just east of Seattle, WA. I planted my first trees in 2024 and look forward to decades of plentiful harvests that I can share with my basketry students and in creating sustainable Earth-friendly baskets.
The Project Funded
The grant will support my 3rd year of succession planting. I'm eager to add additional genetic diversity in my production.
Project Impact
The For Farmers Grant will help me purchase local plant stock that will add genetic diversity to my production and support other local small growers. While the tree funded by For Farmers will provide beautiful willow to be woven by community hands for decades to come.
