The Farm

Fainting Goat Farms, located on Whidbey Island, Washington is a 10-acre biodiverse, regenerative farm operating without herbicides or pesticides. We offer a seasonal assortment of fresh cut flowers, veggies, fruit and honey from the Whidbey Island Honey apiary, located on our farm.

The Project Funded

We invested in drip irrigation for our market garden to conserve water and improve efficiency. The For Farmers Grant will allow us to install two automated remote controllers on our orchard valves. This will reduce water waste, improve crop health, track usage data, and lower labor costs.

The Project Impact

The $500 grant will significantly impact our farm by allowing us to automate irrigation in our pear and hazelnut orchards, reducing water waste, improving crop health, and cutting labor costs. This will enhance productivity, conserve water, and improve farm sustainability, benefiting both our business and the local community.
