The Farm
Emergence Gardens is a micro-local farm invested in improving regional food security & global peace through spreading the skills of tending to the earth, cultivating community, reverence for plant life and receiving nourishment.
The Project Funded
The for farmers grant will support us in placing our first on-farm infrastructure, aimed at season extension, allowing us to grow food beyond the traditional growing season.
Project Impact
Having structures on the farm will help us root into the land, offering a space of reference as members of our ABC farmshare (Agriculture Built in Community) arrive at the farm and engage in our innovative program. Even though it is no grand barn or community space, the impact of a small space to enter through and gather what is needed is as much symbolic as actual.
