The Farm
We are wife and husband, first generation ranchers in rural New Mexico. We raise grass-fed and grass-finished lamb and beef with no grains, hormones, or antibiotics. We closely manage our livestock numbers and use regenerative, sustainable land practices to preserve the long-term health of our fragile grasslands.
The Project Funded
We will purchase a larger mobile chest freezer for our delivery trailer plus hardware (plate steel, angle iron, and bolts) to retrofit where we secured the generator in our delivery trailer. This will help us maximize the efficient use of space in our trailer to help offset rising transportation costs.
Project Impact
We will transport more product at one time and reduce the number of trips we need to take (less truck wear, less mileage). Reducing overhead costs will help us keep our product affordable for our local, rural neighbors while lessening our carbon footprint as we serve customers in NM cities.
