The Farm
Our farm is in Manti, Utah and was started in 2021. We originally started the farm as a part-time side hustle (largely for our mental health), but because cut flower options are limited in our rural area, business ended up taking off, and we decided to go full-time in 2023.
The Project Funded
We've bootstrapped every leg of our flower farming journey, and Matt has been using a cheap hand tiller for our beds, even when we expanded operations to go full-time. Our aim in applying was to see if we could obtain funds to upgrade to a higher grade manually operated tiller.
Project Impact
Our current tiller is a very cheap model we found on Amazon, and it's been time consuming and hard on our body, not to mention not super efficient. Purchasing a nicer tiller that's more heavy duty will allow us to save time, labor, and our bodies.
