The Farm
We are a 75 acre 4th generation commercial Brahman cow/calf and diversified livestock operation in the Arkansas River Valley. Our story is continuing a legacy that was passed on to us while writing our own chapter into a more sustainable and regenerative operation.
The Project Funded
We had to reduce our animal load 3 years ago which unfortunately meant losing sheep on the farm.
We have seen the parasite and weed impact without the cattle and sheep co-grazing practiced on this farm for decades.
With funding we will purchase lower labor hair type sheep allowing us to reintroduce co-grazing.
Project Impact
Our farm has always functioned synergistically with a variety of animals. Providing for our family and our land.
This funding will allow that to continue in a new sustainable format.
We will also now be able to offer ewes as show projects for 4-Hers to raise well and return to our herd for an affordable option to learn about animal production.
