The Farm
Inspired by permaculture, we seek to create nutrient dense pork for local customers with ethically-raised heritage breed hogs (American Berkshire) in woodland pastures.
The Project Funded
This grant will subsidize the rental of heavy equipment and labor to clear trees and shrubs that are an obstacle to creating a new pasture.
Project Impact
By supporting the expansion of our woodland pastures, our farm will be able to increase the health and forage opportunities for our pastured pork. New pasture will help preserve soil structure and improve the nutrition of our hogs. This allows us to bring more nutrient-dense pork to market.
