Castle Hill Farm

The Farm

Castle Hill Farm is a small, family-run flower farm in Louisburg, Kansas, growing seasonal, chemical-free blooms on a half acre. We also raise chickens, ducks, and sheep that support our regenerative practices. Our focus is providing fresh, local flowers for our community through subscriptions, markets, and wholesale partners.

The Project Funded

Grant funds will purchase compost and soil for our new hoop house, allowing us to extend our growing season in early spring and late fall. This investment increases local flower availability, supports the KC wholesale market’s expansion, and strengthens sustainable, community-focused agriculture on our farm.

Project Impact

The grant expands our ability to grow flowers earlier and later in the year, strengthening our farm’s production and supporting the growing demand for local flowers. Increased availability reduces reliance on imports, supports the new KC Flower Farmer Wholesale Market, and provides more sustainable, community-grown blooms for florists and customers.
