The Farm
We are a first-generation family farm with Italian (him) and American (her) roots, dedicated to practicing regenerative agriculture.
On our farm, we raise Gulf Coast native sheep, Red Waddler pigs, South Poll cattle, meat chickens, and a mix of laying hens.
We use rotational grazing practices to promote land health and animal welfare. We sell our farm-raised pork, beef, chicken, lamb, and eggs directly to customers, focusing on sustainability and quality.
The Project Funded
We applied for this grant to help offset the cost of portable shelters for our Gulf Coast Native sheep. Following Hurricane Helene, we recognized the need for a durable yet portable shelter solution that would allow us to move the structures alongside our sheep as they rotate to new pastures.
Project Impact
This grant will have a significant impact on our farm by enhancing the welfare of our livestock, ensuring they are protected from harsh weather conditions while promoting rotational grazing practices that improve pasture health. Additionally, it will increase the overall efficiency and sustainability of our operations, supporting both the long-term viability of our farm and the well-being of our animals.
