The Farm
Beaty Cattle Co. is a family-owned ranch in De Leon, Texas, raising grass-fed, grain-finished beef and pasture-raised pork with a focus on quality, flavor, and transparency. Owned and operated by the Beaty family, our multi-generational team is dedicated to sustaining local agriculture and enlivening our small rural community through honest work, good food, and genuine connection. We sell directly to customers through our farm store, farmers markets, and home delivery to connect families with locally raised meats they can trust.
The Project Funded
We would use the grant to help purchase a Tobbe 5 Ton Grain Bin ($3,965) to store bulk feed. Its heavy-duty steel frame, weather-sealed lid, and chute design make it durable and easy to use in all conditions. The feeder’s weather-sealed lid will reduce feed waste. The bin will replace a repurposed grain trailer that is in need of repair.
Project Impact
This piece of equipment will make feeding cattle safer and far less physically demanding—especially for our aging father, who still works alongside us every day. The Tobbe feed bin will prevent strain injuries, improve herd management, and save valuable time. Overall, this investment will enhance safety, efficiency, and longevity for our family-run operation, helping multiple generations continue to work together productively.
