The Farm
Abounding Acres is a 1-acre market garden located in Ashland, Missouri. We grow and sell organically grown produce primarily direct-to-consumer through farmers markets. In 2025, we are partnering with other local farms to bring more local produce to wholesale outlets in our area.
The Project Funded
The For Farmers grant is allowing us to enclose the wash/pack area on our farm. This area allows us to thoroughly inspect and wash produce to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our vegetables before they reach the end consumer. Maintaining high standards in our wash/pack is essential.
Project Impact
The impact of the For Farmers grant is great for our farm. By enclosing our wash/pack area, we can increase the level of cleanliness and expand our produce safety standards. Increasing these standards allows us to expand our sales outlets to wholesale customers in addition to direct to consumer sales.
